We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer (Electron.js) to build and scale high-performance, cross-platform desktop applications for Windows and macOS.

You will work on a next-generation productivity and time intelligence application, developing reliable desktop systems that operate efficiently in the background. This role involves desktop application architecture, real-time activity tracking, offline-first data management and seamless backend integrations.

⚡ Key Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain cross-platform desktop applications using Electron.js.

Build scalable desktop agents for Windows and macOS with optimized performance.

Develop real-time time-tracking systems, event tracking and background processes.

Implement system-level integrations for keyboard, mouse and application usage monitoring.

Build offline-first data pipelines with background synchronization and conflict resolution.

Integrate REST APIs, backend services and internal systems.

Optimize application performance, memory consumption and resource utilization.

Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure application stability and fault tolerance.

Collaborate with product, design and backend engineering teams.

🎯 Required Skills & Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on experience developing production-grade desktop applications using Electron.js.

Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript and Node.js.

Experience building cross-platform applications for Windows and macOS.

Knowledge of real-time event tracking, activity monitoring or event-driven systems.

Familiarity with OS-level APIs, system permissions, background processes and native integrations.

Strong understanding of desktop application architecture and performance optimization.

Experience with API integration, asynchronous programming and data synchronization.

Excellent debugging, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

⭐ Preferred Qualifications

Experience in productivity tools, employee monitoring, telemetry or time-tracking applications.

Knowledge of native OS integrations and system hooks.

Understanding of application security, data privacy and secure event collection.

Familiarity with Electron auto-updates, application packaging and release management.

Experience with offline data storage and distributed systems.
